Young adults studying abroad eligible to receive maintenance from the state
On Thursday, 30 May, the Saeima adopted in the final reading amendments to the Maintenance Guarantee Fund Law, enabling young adults of legal age studying abroad to receive maintenance from the state if parents do not pay it. 
Apartment building maintenance to be decided in a reconvened  general meeting
On Thursday, 30 May, the Saeima adopted in the final reading amendments to the Law on Residential Properties in order to promote the renovation and proper maintenance of apartment buildings. They provide an opportunity for apartment owners to decide on issues important to the house even if a part of the residents does not engage in solving these issues. 
Moscow House sales revenues earmarked to support Ukraine
On Thursday, 30 May,  the Saeima adopted in the final reading amendments to the Law on the Handling of Real Estate to Prevent Threats to National Security and amendments to the Law on Assistance to Ukrainian Civilians in order to allow the state to transfer the acquired money to Ukraine after the sale of the Moscow House. 
Incomplete register of first-time shareholders to be accepted
On Thursday, 30 May, the Saeima adopted in the second and final reading urgent amendments to the Commercial Law, according to which in cases where the joint stock company does not have all the current data on the shareholder, it will be allowed to submit an incompletely completed first-time shareholder register to the Register of Enterprises.
Baltic, Czech, Dutch, Polish, and French parliament speakers urge Georgia to repeal recently adopted “foreign agent” law
Speakers of the parliaments of Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Poland, and France call on Georgia to withdraw the recently adopted “foreign agent” law. The parliament speakers sent a joint letter to Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, underlining that the spirit and the content of the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence, adopted by the Georgian Parliament, are incompatible with European norms and values. The idea to call on Georgia to repeal the controversial law arose last week in Riga during the meeting of Daiga Mieriņa, Speaker of the Saeima, and Markéta Pekarová Adamová, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament.
A unique carpet woven in Baku for the Jānis Akuraters Museum
In the presence of the delegation from Latvia’s Parliament, a special carpet made in the museum's master workshop was ceremoniously cut from the loom at the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum in Baku. The work is a replica of a unique carpet that decorated the study of Latvian writer Jānis Akuraters during the inter-war period.
Daiga Mieriņa in Azerbaijan: we see promising opportunities for closer economic cooperation

Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica: Reforms in Moldova bring the country closer to EU membership
“Moldova is successfully continuing its reform path. Tangible progress has already been made in a number of areas, including reforming the judiciary and fighting corruption. Employees of the Research Service of the Parliament of Ukraine to visit the Saeima to exchange experiences
