Groups

MPs may join together and form groups for promoting cooperation with parliaments of other countries or for pursuing some other interests related to their work. Such groups help strengthen interparliamentary cooperation and promote the interests of Latvia.

At least three MPs are needed to form a group. Groups are established upon the MP initiative. There are no special rules regarding the principles for establishing a group or its composition. The Saeima does not vote on the formation or composition of groups.
