The Head of the OSCE PA Latvian delegation informed the participants of the session about the statement adopted by the Saeima, which strongly condemns Russia’s military aggression and large-scale invasion of Ukraine, as well as urges to take immediate action by imposing maximum sanctions on the Russian Federation, Belarus and their officials responsible for the attack on the Ukrainian statehood. We must support the Ukrainian people and the government of Ukraine at this difficult moment, said Mr Pūce.

During the OSCE PA winter session, a broad debate is taking place on the Russian military attack on Ukraine.

The OSCE PA is the parliamentary dimension of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, whose main task is to promote inter-parliamentary dialogue in order to contribute to the achievement of the organisation’s objectives of comprehensive security.
