In view of the ongoing spread of COVID‑19 and the restrictions set in Latvia, media representatives are invited to follow the work of the Saeima remotely.
Accredited media representatives with an interoperable certificate of COVID-19 vaccination or recovery may visit the Saeima in person to report on on-site events and visits confirmed by the Presidium of the Saeima and to conduct interviews.
Media representatives must apply for an in-person visit in advance by contacting the Public Relations Bureau of the Saeima via e‑mail firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling +371 67087281.
Visitors of the Saeima premises must comply with the current epidemiological safety measures and precautions, including the wearing of face masks. Please note that visiting the Saeima is not permitted for persons displaying signs of an acute respiratory disease or those who must self‑isolate or quarantine at home.
The plenary sittings taking place remotely on the e-Saeima platform are open to the public and are streamed on the Saeima website and Facebook page. Media representatives may also follow the open committee meetings and listen to audio recordings of the meetings accessible via the calendar on the Saeima website next to the meeting agenda.
Media representatives who require visual material (video footage) to depict the process of plenary sittings are invited to contact the Saeima Press Service.
